Conference
The Eastern Cape Export Symposium and Exhibition is a vital initiative dedicated to promoting trade and enhancing export capabilities in the region, organized by the ECDC. This event aims to strengthen the export ecosystem within the province while fostering meaningful connections between local businesses and international markets.
Scheduled to take place alongside the Continental Energy and Infrastructure Investment Forum (CEIIF), the symposium presents a unique and dynamic platform for trade and investment. Participants will have the chance to engage in knowledge sharing and professional networking, making invaluable connections that could lead to future collaborations.
CEIIF South Africa 2026 is an ambitious Inward Buying and Investment Mission designed to bridge the gap between Africa’s infrastructure needs and the capital, industrial expertise, and partnerships necessary to address them. Within this broader mission, the Eastern Cape Export Symposium stands out as the central hub for market access, trade promotion, and export development, empowering local businesses to reach a global audience and tap into international opportunities
Rationale
Numerous stakeholders play a role in optimising exports from the region. The program provides these roleplayers, exporters, partners and potential investors with a comprehensive and complete, multi-disciplinary view of the trends, new developments, opportunities, strengths and improvement areas that define and drive the export ambition.
Prospective and existing exporters require uptodate information on available support services, resources and policy movements that promote export growth. Fresh among these is the African Continental Free Trade Area, AGOA, BRICS, EU and UK trade agreements.
Day 2 focuses on micro-level execution, technical toolkits, and direct market penetration strategies.
