The Leisure Tour, scheduled for Friday 23 August 2024 from 8am-3pm is an optional opportunity for Eastern Cape Export symposium visitors to the region and is to be booked and paid separately. Bookings close on August 10 at 3pm and payment is required on booking.

The cost of R995 ($55) per person, includes:

• Return transfer from EL ICC to the Mpongo Park Game Reserve (sponsored by the ECDC)
• A game drive
• Lunch and a cooldrink

Your Mpongo Private Game Reserve Experience

This malaria-free Eastern Cape game reserve in South Africa has luxurious facilities and game viewing on a private reserve close to the seaside city of East London. Enchanting countryside with lush river valleys and rolling hills can be found at Mpongo which incorporates 3 500 hectares of conservation land.

Guests will be treated to a South Africa ‘braai’ lunch, as well as a Game Drive. Drinks purchased on a cash basis.

Wildlife of Mpongo

Game drives are conducted in open vehicles with a picnic stop for light refreshments. Visitors can view a wide variety of wildlife focusing on buck species (red hartebeest, eland, kudu, nyala, mountain reedbuck, blue wildebeest), zebra, buffalo and giraffe, as well as a herd of elephants.
