Established to drive industrialization, investment, export growth and economic development, ELIDZ provides a world-class, purpose-built environment for businesses operating in strategic growth industries The organisation's mandate is to attract and sustain investment that strengthens regional industrial productivity, while providing infrastructure, investor support, innovation facilities and an enabling business environment. ELIDZ is wholly owned by government, with the Eastern Cape Department of Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism (DEDEAT) holding 74% and Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality holding 26%.
