Sunland farm

Sunland farm is situated in the Addo area. The farm was bought by the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform (DRDLR) and leased to Sunland Farms Empowerment Trust (farm workers). The Farm consists of 28 beneficiaries, all of them are employed in the farm. The farm covers an area of 400 hectares in size of which 295 hectares are planted with oranges, lemons and soft citrus. There is about 76 ha available for further development. The farm is jointly managed by BONO (40% shareholder) and the Sunland Farms Empowerment Trust (60% shareholder), the profit sharing is based on productive income.
